Breuklyn Tequila and Taco

I really dont even know where to start with this spot. This is another restaurant I saw on Instagram. I’m trying to support black business, but… First and foremost, it is a hookah lounge. They seem to have forgotten to put that very important piece of information on their website. I work for a major airline and went straight after work. I am not allowed to be in certain atmospheres while in uniform. Had I’d known, I would have changed at the airport or went elsewhere. I also do not smoke nor like the smell of it. I suffer from migraines and would have appreciated knowing it was a hookah lounge prior, too. I drove an hour through NY traffic, so I stayed. It took me quite a few mins to get someone’s attention, and I asked for a table outside. The staff is ghetto and occasionally, they will stop to talk, smoke, or drink. My waiter was really sweet but all over the place and forgetful. My food came out, and the young lady said she would grab me utensils, and then she never came back. I finally flagged down my original waiter, and he got them for me. But by then, the food was cold. The food is mediocre at best. The tacos are tiny, and the oxtail mac and cheese has one piece of oxtail in the middle of the dish.The oxtail has a good taste, but it’s nothing special. You can get better from a local Jamaican restaurant for less money and better service. The atmosphere is a vibe for those who like hookah and drinking (I do neither). If you’re like me, then don’t waste your time.
